Is it necessary or does it make a huge difference of getting a Graphics Card with 2Gig memory or will a 512Meg one be sufficient?
Also while at it..
What is better for performance ... 4Gig Ram on Windows XP or 8 Gigs on Vista?
Thanks

Bigger is better for graphics memory.
Same principle in RAM, as long as you have 64bit operating system. Anything over 2G in 32bit XP is not recognised, as I found to my cost after buying it! |

/me thinks you'll get a better perf improvement going from a vid card with 512MB to one with 2GB than you will with going from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM.. But if you can do both, go for it.
Having a fast, separate disk for the SL cache is also a good idea. _____________________
