Yes - it is just a different way of setting up the item.

/me answers differently...
![]() It depends? Buy works. It only involved your viewer and the servers, you can set up something with Buy simply by clicking the button on a prim to sell it or it's contents. Pay sends info to a script in the vendor. There are two ways that the product then is delivered to you, the simplest/easiest/most reliable is the vendor gives it to you right then from within itself which is just like Buy was. However some vendors are networked to servers outside of SL and the product is delivered to you after a pause. It's usually reliable, but can fail (I had it happen with an item that cost L$thousands). In which case, simply contact the owner of the vendor with the transaction info from the website (number of transaction, date/time) so they can manually give you your product. Some vendors ask that you send them a notecard as they don't have IMs sent to email or have some other method of preferred contact, so read their profiles. The way to tell is edit the vendor, if you see objects inside that look like what you are buying, no worries! (You can even check their permissions by bringing up properties on them!)If you only see scripts, then it's probably networked and you'd be relying on their external system working with SL. No worries for items of a few hundred L$ (since that's only one or two $). So why doesn't everyone use Buy? Prims, time and organization. So I hope this helps, I'm tired and obviously babbling, LOL _____________________
