Hi everyone!
I'm new to posting here on the forum but figured I might be able to get some help here.
There are some people that I talk to a lot when I'm offline (say at work) and they're in SL. The whole messages going to me email address method. And uptil this week, I've been able to reply back to them through emails as well with no problem. They max out at somewhere around 20 messages or so, but they work.
Now, out of the blue, I'm still receiving their messages like usual but my messages are getting lost or disappearing somewhere. They're not receiving them at all.
I've checked all my settings, both email and SL, and nothing has changed.
So any ideas why this method isn't working all of a sudden? Or is there an update that I'm not aware of? Thank you in advance for any help!

There have been so many problems with IMs to email, group notices inworld and/or forwarded to email, group chatting inworld, etc... that I just figure all SL communication is a crap shoot these days and we are lucky if any of it works.
ETA: There is a new client, called SLIM I think, that will let you do the communicate part when not inworld, but I think there are questions on the security of it. Also, you could get set up with zonkster.com and send your messages to people that way.

Um, I would think twice about this at work unless a)your the boss or 2)you are the systems admin. They could easily set a filter to not send email to say a domain named @im.agni.lindenlab.com. Oh and you really should be doing work at work.

@OP: This is happening to me also and I tend to rely on Email->IM too for inworld customer support - grrr!

I am having this issue and I am using gmail, if the OP is using gmail then their work is not responsible.
