In clubs I see dancers and hosts using precanned messages. Is this done using a scripted HUD or is there a way to store macros?

Usually Gestures. You can make your own--it's easy--by opening Inventory and choosing Create / New Gesture. With only a little playing around, you can be just as annoying as the professional club-goers!

Thanks There are also an assortment of hosting tools that will do that. Personally, when I was hosting, kept a notecard with the text in it, and copied/pasted as needed.

With only a little playing around, you can be just as annoying as the professional club-goers! oh lordy and can they ever be annoying especially when they use a repeater, so that not only do you see the "remember to ti" and "vote vote vote" and "tp in your friends" once, but you have to see it in green txt too blech (the tp in your friends thing annoys me to no end, I mean please... If I wanted my friends there I would ask them, I do not need a host/hostess prompting me to bring them in)

That's begging, in my book, and I won't attend a club where they repeatedly prompt customers to "show some Linden love".
