I just got this in my email (offline IM). What concerns me are the lines "Invite Server 1-1500 is owned by Melissa Zerbino"
I don't own any such object.
I know this is just automated spam but I hope that everyone who gets this does not think the crap can from me.

Has anyone else seen something like this? Does it alwas show the recipient as the owner?

It's scripted to hide ownership, to prevent ARs

But since they give the slurl of the place, you can AR the person that owns it.

That looks like SVC-2524 and it was supposed to be fixed in 1.22.4, has one of the regions that made it to 1.23 brought it back? :/ (eta: nope, batak is still on 1.22.4)

Darn it, and here I thought I was the owner of Second Life! Stupid misleading emails! I want my money back, darn it!

Yeah, I'd say go to the site, AR the owner of the place and then mute 'em. If it doesn't give you the info of who the owner is when you log in.
