Strange question, but hopefully it'll make sense!

I have a club on a SIM that has sound on it.. But the Club also has a jukebox that plays music. I can't turn either one of and would like to get a 'live DJ'.. Is there a way around both of those issues? I don't have sound so I can't tell when it's off or on, and I lack permissions to edit the jukebox, but I have permissions to edit the "Media" tab under "About Land". Really don't want to mess with it all though as I'm not sure what any of that does..

Anyone know? =( Lol..

Couldn't tell you about the jukebox as I would need more information about it, but basically streaming music (and video for that matter) is streamed from anywhere on the internet (not LL's servers), to the client itself. When you specify a media url or media stream in the about land parcel media setting, you're telling that piece of land where to tell the clients that show up on that land where to stream the audio from. There are quite a few free 'internet radio stations' out there on the net that offer free streaming audio that you could plug in and use. Also, one of Torley's videos covers how to get the media uri from various audio tools, so you might want to check that out as well. Although, you'll need sound to listen to the video tutorial. Hard to imagine why someone wouldn't have sound on a computer. Is there a reason why?

Hmmm.. The only thing I know about the Jukebox is that the SIM owned created it.. I know it works because visitors compliment it alot. Will drop her a note and see what else she can tell me about it.

And, yes, I simply prefer to have no sound. I hear enough at work, and like peace and quiet at home.

Edited: Ahhh.. and her profile now says she's on break! =x

maybe a burnt up sound card or something simple in the settings..

one question to the OP are you renting this land or do you own it?myself i would send the jukebox back to whoever it was if you don't know who's it ia and you own this land..

what is your clubs name i would love to stop in and give you a hand with setting up your music..it's pretty easy..plus i could help you get set up with a stream if you wanted to look into those as well..i'm just hanging out tonight so i really have more time than i can count hehehehe

Edit..ok i see you have sound off on purpose and rent the land hehehe
