Can anyone help me figure out how to wear a ring a friend of mine bought? She tries to put it on and it ends up in the palm of her left hand. We see not attachment point for left ring finger! Thanks!

The attachment point is the hand. There's no individual point for each finger. She just needs to adjust the location on her particular shape. Open an edit menu, click the ring, then adjust as needed.

You have to edit your own attachments so it really helps to be on a posing stand when you do this. To keep youreself still.

Hi, your friend should be able to wear the ring and edit into place.
Rings are worn by the whole one hand attachment point,
and not a perfect science of fit always.

To edit have them use an edit/pose stand wearing the ring, wear it.
Then they go into editing on the item,
Right Clicking on the item, using the Position arrows, up, down, back, forth,
till they get a happy "look" of it.

Personally for me, I wear rings on a middle finger,
as the hand opens and closes with AOs, leaving the ring hovering off kilter noticeably.
Some rings fit a default hand size of 20-25 I have found with female avatars.
So your friend might have to up or downsize their overall hand size In Appearance.
If the ring is Copyable and they are confident in editing, they can resize the ring some also,
after they get it into place.

(and remember, if they are wearing the ring, it takes up the attachment point for that hand, so if they hold or wear something else in that hand, it will take the ring off putting it back into Inventory. Also you can not edit something for some one if they are wearing it, so they have to do it.)

Hope that helps if you haven't gotten any help inworld. :)

If you ever get fed up with the hand problems you could try threading a little chain through the ring and make it a necklace.
