She was also the voice of Gloria from Happy Feet and Luanne from King of the Hill. I was quite surprised to hear of her passing. I feel bad for her and her family.

Saw her picture and the blunt headline on yahoo today and literally gasped aloud and said "OH my God." I mean one doesn't expect to see that stark a headline for one that age. And of cardiac failure?
I know...I know it happens all the time it just hit me strangely. It's awful. Random thoughts. She was great in "Girl, Interrupted," "8 Mile" and "Don't Say A Word." Saw her for a few minutes once in public with her mother, they were laughing and seemed like buddies. It was around the time she was filming "Don't Say A Word." There's just that image caught in my mind while I wonder what hell her mother must be feeling right now. So very sad. _____________________

If so.... and she did this to herself basicly to be hollywood thin..... although a shame, these girls know what can come of it... I recall when I first saw her in some movie and by Hollywood standards she was "chubby". She looked fine and healthy to me back then. When I saw the photo announcing her death, first thing I thought of was anorexia. She kinda looked Karen Carpentership to me for some odd reason.

king of the hill is a thought provoking show which unfortunately seems to occupy late night slots in the UK...
Like a lot of other animation I think its obscured by the shadow cast by the Simpsons.. Ironically only a few minutes before reading this ( admittedly I didnt know the actress in question until king of the hill was mentioned) Id been discussing with a friend the fact that Happy Feet is to be shown on Christmas day on one of the main terrestrial uk channels. _____________________

She looks very thin in that video, if you look at her jawline and the way her eyes stick out so far. She's also wearing a very bulky top with that big bow. If she did die of complications from anorexia/bulimarexia, that really is a form of mental illness and it's tragic. It's something she probably could not help. Hearing her discuss wanting a baby in the new year is so sad in context.

... I feel bad for her and her family. Start a collection or find out where the funeral is and get flowers sent, you can even offer a service to fans to get flowers there. Otherwise threads and especially the pointless sentiments are as good as, "You must visit some time" and give them no way to contact you. |

Tyroid issues (especially the bulging eyes) would explain it just as well, and lead to the same results. She'd have to have been severely hyperthyroid, (and) isn't Graves disease a different type of thyroid disorder? (Graves' = something that can cause the 'bulging eyes' - Barbara Bush has it.) Is it common for hyperthyroid people to die of cardiac arrest in their early 30s? --- It could have been a number of things or combination thereof. She did seem extremely thin. Her half brother says a neurological condition runs in the family. Jenshae the funeral will be at Forest Lawn and it's very small and private. Flowers might not be appreciated. A donation to charity in someone's name is always nice, whether or not anyone else knew about it. _____________________
