Hey there
for the last 2 days when ive logged on im a ghost. If my avatar does materialise she willnot walk (my numbers lock isnt on). Also i get sl IMs in my inbox thru my email account. However when i log on to sl they are not there. I also cannot tp anywhere. Basically i cannot do anything on sl. Eve when i send IMs to friends they are not receiving them!!! Is there anything i can do to fix this or should i just re-install sl??
Anyone else having this prob???

Hi Annisha, a lot of these symptoms sound like you are partially disconnected from SL. Click on help > lag meter at the top of your screen and if the network button is red this is likely to be the problem. Are you on a wireless connection? If you can change to a plugged-in connection it may help.
IM's going to email when you are online has been reported by a few people recently, so this may be a separate issue.

this reminds me of the old 'stealth crash'. basically the viewer losing its connection to the sim without overtly notifying you that that has occurred.

Yeah, this sounds like a partial disconnection. First thing I'd look into is rebooting the modem/router that the computer connects to. Then try connecting to another sim, rather than the sim you are in.

After I logged on to another sim and TP'd back to my home the problem went away. |
