A few days ago i bought an item from an in world shop. As usual it said that it may take up to 15 minutes for the item to be delivered but it's days later and i still have not taken delivery of it. I sent an IM to the creator but he hasn't responded. The money was taken from my account and I'd hate to think i was ripped off. I hope that someone who reads this could provide me with information on what to do in this situation.

1. Go to your account on the Second Life web page and select Transactions History. Find the transaction record, highlight it, and copy it with CTRL+C.
2. Log on to SL. Right click your inventory and select New Note. Write a note to the merchant explaining your problem. Paste the transaction you copied into the note.
3. Send the note to the merchant. They may not have received your IM.

Look at your transaction history to verify the name of it- look in recent items.. sadly if the creator doesnt help you there is nothing u can do.. ETA... see? interrupted mid post and Lindy beat me to it

Just wanted to chime in on the notecard suggestion. IMs for MANY merchants get capped (WHY is there a cap anyway? Can't ALL IMs just be logged and delivered upon login??), and messages get lost. Give the merchant a fair chance to make it right. For the record, I usually message a creator within fifteen minutes of a purchase that doesn't arrive (with the transaction information).

I find the majority of merchants are very good at looking after you if you don't receive what you buy I have bought so much stuff on sl and if i don't receive it i contact them. However there was one merchant i bought a huge yacht from, when i rezzed it the whole 3rd floor was missing, the theatre floor was missing and if you stepped in there you went straight to the ocean bottom, also a set of outside stairs were missing. I tried for over a month with IM's and notecards to contact him,no response. I gave up trying and put his product in my picks and my experience warning others that if they had problems with his products you were out of luck

Not with what i wrote,i wrote a long negative review of what was missing and how i tried to contact him and was ignored My final sentence was that if they bought a boat from him and only half rezzed, too bad they will be stuck with it This guy is one of the biggest yacht sellers on SL,over 2000 satisfied customers his add says,i find it totally unacceptable when you buy his biggest most expensive boat and you don't get all you paid for that you cannot get satisfaction, My satisfaction is placing his product in my picks with a negative review for others to see rather than say nothing. I actually bought two boats from this guy,i really wanted the bigger 1000 prim boat but it would put my OS over the prim limit so i bought the next size down. I decided to remove my big house and rob peter to pay paul,so to speak so i would be able to get the big one,and i did, that is my home now.

I see what you mean and I can understand it.All I thought was that not many people read others picks but once picked the item gets a boost in search. If this guy sells so many maybe he is away ,perhaps try to get him again with a notecard and transaction history.I bet you paid a few bob for it

The stairs at the back were a problem though, those were the main thing i wanted from him,in the end i copied the back end of the boat and unlinked it all and saved the stairs to put back in place. After owning the boat for a few months, one day the penny dropped and i realized i could do that. Mmm that did'nt make sense,"i saved the stairs",there are actually two sets of stairs at the back left and right,on the right side half the stairs were missing, after i unlinked the top set and saved them i put them in place below the top ones step by step
