I have a tiny piece of land in Hamnida. I wanted to do a "winter" decoration so I bought a set of prims that are supposed to look like snow. What I didn't understand was that they were PRIMS. They are flat and don't follow the land contours. They were cheap...that's not the issue.
I've seen "snow" on contoured land, so I assume it's possible to add texture to the property.
HOW?
If this is the wrong forum for this question, I apologize in advance.
Thanks for any help.

Sadly its not possible to change land texture in mainland sims, the only way to get your snow is to use prims. Some sims are snowy by default. Island Estate land texture is able to be changed by the estate manager.

OH......
Well, I guess that's the end of that!
Thanks for the info.
I'll give the snow prims away (if I can...don't remember if they are transferable or not). Anyone here want them if they are transferable?
Thanks,

There is one other method to add snow... Get a weather generator system, and it will create particle snow that will land on the terrain and blanket it. However, that snow will also fall through the roof and walls of buildings, as particles are not stopped by prims.
If you would like to see a really pretty whole-sim Winter makeover, look at the Livingtree sim. The sim owner has put ice on the river, snow on the ground, set up particle snow falling, and has set up lots of Winter activities, including ice skating and snowball fights.
