Is it possible? If so, how?
Hi folks, I've been trying for a while now to find answers to this question and I keep on coming up with nothing. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers

You'd could transcode the audio and video into a quicktime stream using something like Quicktime Broadcaster and Quicktime Streaming Server. You'd probably need two computers and a scan converter to do it, to take the video out from the system running the visualization into video capture on the system doing the transcoding.

Cheers Chip, for the info. I have the two pc's, but the rest, all seems a little too complicated.

I was hoping it would be a little bit more like streaming the music and only requiring some sort of plug-in, or the like. Definitely not my area of expertise, yet still an interest.

I don't think it would be all that hard to do, but likely expensive to get up and running. Someone else might have ideas about how you might do it on the cheap. I'm not too knowledgeable about Quicktime streaming.

Same here with the quicktime streaming. I haven't even played with video capture yet, but I know my pc's are more than capable. Definitely open to any further suggestions, from anyone, lol.

At Metaverse TV we use a program called Wirecast by Varasoft to screen capture (SL or whatever is on your desktop) to our quicktime server that streams into SL. Wirecast while there is a bit of a learning curve you can crop the area it captures to the Winamp visuals on your desktop and send that into SL that way.
