I have a quick question. If you own parcels in two dif parts of one sim. Can you use the prims for both parcels on one of the parcels?

Yes, but only within the bounds of a single sim, as you described. More than one sim, and yer out of luck.

you can also join those two pieces of land, even if they do not touch one another.

They would then share the same name and land settings

if you leave the unjoined, be sure to set auto return on the unused plot

(to join them just fly above the sim, so you can see both plots, and in the land edit mode, drag the mouse over them both then click join land

Even if they are not close to each other but are on the same sim you can join them?

That is awesome. Figured about the prims though just wanted to make sure.

Thanks everyone!

Er.. It's 'yes' but I think it's a qualified 'yes'...

If you have multiple parcels in the same sim _and_ you deed those parcels to the same group, you can share the prims.

Not sure what the rules are for user-owned (ie: not set to a group) land or for land that is set to a group but not deeded.

yes even if not close, as long as they are on the same sim, they can be joined (I did it with some of mine)

just remember to divide them if you ever plan to sell

If one entity (User OR group) owns multiple parcels in one sim, then it shares prims.

they do not have to be deeded, they still share the prims even if owned by the same person, not a group

set to group should not make a difference, as long as the land is owned by the same person
