Giant See-Through Squares (?)

Morning (Evening?) Everyone,

I must have changed something in my Windlight pref settings by accident, but not sure what. I usually just leave graphics at 'Default' med, so I have no idea what it could be. Some trees have giant red translucent squares attached to them, and a few other random things show up as flickering red, (ex. my pet dog's torso, lol).

This has been happening only while using WL the last couple of days. Couldn't find anything using search in both RA and FL viewer, (this is why I think it's on my end - not a bug).

Before anyone suggests tech stuff, I have a iMac, everything is updated, etc

I think it's View -> Highlight Transparency. (^_^) It turns anything with transparency into a translucent red surface. (^_^)y

It does sound like transparencies are highlighted. You can toggle them on and off with Ctrl-Alt-T as well.

Same shade of red, but no prize. It kind of looks like 'highlight transparent' but I have that turned off. Only a few things are affected (some trees, dog's torso, a few floating pose balls). :(

I think I heard something about highlight beacons when someone had this problem at the hangout. Could this be it? not a clue how you turn it off. might be in either the edit dropdown or in the Client menu in the debug thingie.
sorry, not much help but i am sure someone will be able to explain what I mean in better terms than I can atm.

EDIT: ahh see, told you someone else would know lol.

That was me. I clicked on something by accident and someone told me how to shut it off. I can't for the life of me remember how though. :o

I have had an issues with flickering red stuff on my iMac under the current WL. Very random, an not all dat common. It's on the JIRA.

Anyway - check highlights and beacons under, I think, the view menu. Also uncheck "beacons always on" if it is checked.

Thank you everyone!!!!!!!!

Yes, it was 'Beacons'. Fantastic! I must have pressed Cmd-N somehow. What a relief. :)

I can now walk my dog in windlight. Youhoo!
