I haven't even been here a year and I've seen some some pretty hectic threads and I was just wondering what was like before my time and what topics have been the most popular.
Any Ideas?
Here's a few obvious controversial ones now so that no one else needs to mention the obvious:

The SL forums are only a mere shadow of what they used to be. Look in the forum archives under General Topics and The Sandbox to find some real epic threads. Edit: Better still don't look in the archives. Its all been "Lindened".

I agree with Teeny, these forums are tame in comparison with yesteryear - it was not so much 'what' was being discussed rather 'who' was discussing. Just about any topic you started would be derailed by certain notorious characters and their alts and many would end up in slanging matches.
