Looking for some suggestions about what the best SL viewer is - particularly for a low spec PC. SL standard offering, coolviewer, emerald? Any thoughts?

Your fave viewer depends on what you like and your machine specs. One of my SL characters always uses Emerald. The other switches between Cool Viewer and Snowglobe.
For a low spec PC I would reccomend something as old as you can get but with the latest patches. Maybe Nicholaz's 'Old School' series:  _____________________

Another option for an old viewer updated would be Henri Beauchamps' Cool Viewer versions of the 1.19 viewer (the last pre-windlight viewer) at http://sldev.free.fr/
