How do I get a bug fixed?
Land is deeded to the group, DJs have the role of being able to change music and media BUT they can't. How do I get a GM to effectively come in and check this out?

Make sure the DJs have that particular role enabled (there's a drop down menu on their group info pane). _____________________

Aye, first, make sure it is a bug, and not something related to operator error. As far as I have seen, the role ability works just fine. If all else fails, you can go browse JIRA and discover what happens with true bug filings.  _____________________

If you own the sim, you can get phone support ("concierge" support). In the course of that, a Linden MAY visit your sim, but that is fairly rare (SL does not use the term GM, as you may have gathered; instead, Linden employees are members of the support or "Resi" team - but LL has no inworld employees whose job it is to solve issues). Audio streaming in SL is a little tricky; it is most likely that you've missed some little thing in setting it up. For example, the DJ may be using an object to change channels, and I don't think that will work unless the object is also deeded to the group. The quickest way to fix this is to join an inworld group of DJs, and ask in group chat if someone familiar with DJing on deeded property can come check things out. It sounds like your DJ isn't able to debug your issue themselves. |

Did you get your issue solved? ... Thank you for asking. Yes, without changes to the group, the third sim restart was the charm. The media tab was simply greyed out for them as it would be for anyone without the privilege. |
