If We Harnessed the Energy ...

If we harnessed the energy of all the effort that goes into lovemaking in sl every day, could we light up a city?

Or, more seriously for a Friday thread: when do you come on sl? - when you feel the most zippy or need a downtime? What do you bring to the desk? A wine, coffee, bag of crisps?

Do you keep a little black book of all your information you hoard about yourself and others?

I come to SL to relax. To hang out with my girl.

Also to escape RL for a bit. RL economy has hit me hard and I havve too much time on my hands. At least in SL I am still reasonably succesfull, something that I cannot say for RL at the moment.

At the moment I come into SL when I have the time at home - forums is easy - I have an Eee PC at work and am good freinds with the IT dude

I believe that it is all the one handed typists in SL that already produce the energy to do that.

I come here for escapism and to be creative and to communicate with people and to listen to music. I'm generally happy, well adjusted and active in my real life, so SL is also quite relaxing on the whole.

My timetable is determined more by when the best computer is available to me - when it's not I'm stuck on 'Old Laggy'!

I only log in when a customer needs some assistance and sends me an IM. If I can't deal with it by replying from the outside, I log in.

Well prior to Will and I meeting irl, I would have an answer to the how much energy would one generate from lovemaking in sl. Now my answer to that question is, energy conservation.

It is a different kind of energy so I would think we would not have enough to light a single house after the conversion. A better use would be to harness all the lovemaking energy and use it to heal someone's heart.

This question created a very amusing mental image: A large generator, with an oversised hamster wheel that has obviously been used before to generate power, and beside it a new Rube Goldberg device with several couples on beds, with levers, pulleys and pistons attached to posteriors... An engineer saying "We used to entice them to run in the wheel, but this generates far more power, and they like it a lot more!"
