I shop a lot on xlstreet or slx as was..IF i get something I really like I always rate it and most of the time explain why Ive rated ie: what I liked about it so much.

What Ive noticed lately more and more, are that sellers are mailing me direct on the site asking me to vote for what Ive bought. I really dont like this...if i wish to vote I shall...if not I wont..it irks me to get mails requesting that I do.

Does this bug you? Have you rated because youve been asked too? Or not rated because theyve in effect spammed you?

(I leave the mail option open because I also sell on there)

I've never used slx but I think you can expect that activity to increase now that LL is pushing it at everyone.

I sell a lot of stuff on XStreet. I would never ask anyone to vote for one of my products. That is so rude.

I really, really wish more buyers would rate on XStreet. But, I won't ask customers to do it. Just seems really, really spammy.

yes I have sold a lot of stuff on xstreet and only got one review (it was a good one). I guess no news is good news! At least you know I don't get my alts on there to give myself good reviews lol

I would never spam someone's email asking them to review a product...and they can't email me because I don't allow my email to show on any forum sites, or games. That's just asking for spam. If they need to contact me, they can send me a notecard just as simply.

I don't use the out of world services, but if I did, buying the item would be my way of voting

I rate every product I purchase on XStreet and I've never been asked to do so.. If I would be asked. I most likely wouldn't rate it at that point. Just seems needy to me.

actually buying sometihng can bve a bit of a lottery...if they dont have an inworld store, and you cant view it *in person* so to speak...you rely on the pics and blurb on the web site...I think theres been 2 occasions when the item I purchased bore no resemblence to what I received .

thanks for the replies..I thought it was needy & spammy...and I loathe it..but I stepped back and thought perhaps I was just having a bad day and should get over it lol
