My sis and I just start a group with a fee to join and were wondering how you get the money out of it. Anyone know?
Thanks!

Hmm, I think that money paid to the group automatically pays out on a specific day each week. Be careful - the roles/abilities default to having the "everyone" role set to receive payouts, so be sure to change that before it does the paying. Right now, something is messed up such that when I look at the "Land & L$" tab of two groups that I am owner of, I get "you do not have permission to view the group's accounting information" -- quite odd.

Group dividends (money that came into the group to be paid out to members) are paid once every 24 hours sometime after 12am.
Make sure only the roles you want to receive the money have the accounting ability ticked.
Stipend date is the date premium members receive their weekly payment included as part of the premium package, 'usually' Tuesdays.

Also, if you have any group liabilities (a parcel listing) they are paid once a week. Mine go out on stipend day, but that could be a coincidence. I never really looked into it.
Liabilities are shared the same as income.

Thanks! Um...I don't think I want to join your group. Seriously -- I have a real problem with any group that charges a fee to join. Very few do, unless they're something like a very mercenary dominatrix who charges you to be one of her pets. There are so many groups in SL, and almost all of them are free to join. You'll have to offer something extremely attractive to get anyone to pay to join yours.

Also, please do not spam people with invitations to join your "fee to join" group as a money-making scam unless you want to be universally hated and see your name dragged across multiple forums in a bad way...

One is to keep out the annoying arses who feel the need to join a group just to spam it with adverts unrelated, while keeping it open enrollment. Those kind of spammers don't wanna pay the fees for ads, so they aren't likely to pay the fees to join groups
