Is there any way to contact someone in world from outside, my works computer won't access the grid. Thanks in advance

There's the new SLim product from LL, don't know how well it works. There are other similar lightweight clients that allow you to chat and IM but nothing else.

Or there's zonkster.com which allows you to send IMs from the web to SL, but you can't get replies and you have to set uit up inworld first.

If your work is blocking all access to SL then no, the only kloodgy way is for them to IM you and have forwarded to your email, then you can reply to it for a few days after that (5 or 6).

If it's just the client they won't allow, then you might be able to use SLim.

You can try using ajaxlife.net, but I haven't had any success in bringing it up since the latest version of SL was released. It's a text based client rather than graphical, and doesn't pull the SL site.
