I used to get payments for that quite often but I haven't seen one in over a year and I assume they no longer do it - but I may be mistaken.

I haven't had anyone I've referred go premium in a while. You only get a bonus when someone upgrades to premium and renews for a second billing cycle, and the growth in premium accounts has been negative for a while.

The refer a friend program was "temporarily discontinued" some time ago without any real announcement. The referral page mentioned that for a little while this year before it disappeared altogether, but it actually stopped working for new registrations about a year and a half ago. No mention was made of how long "temporarily discontinued" would be. See http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-841 for some most excellent LL silence about this change.

Thank you
![]() So they sneakily removed it without telling anyone - presumably so that all the links on people's websites aren't suddenly removed. I'll remove the links on my sites now. _____________________

Hi guys, does SL account signup Referral Bonus still work? It seems to, I referred an account and once a year (when they renew) I get a bonus. _____________________

When did that avatar join SL? Was it before or after July 2008? They joined as a basic in January of 2008 and went premium in September of 2008. I still got a bonus this year. The transaction history only shows you 30 days back (I thought you could show more before?), but given the timing I am pretty sure it was the bonus for her renewal. _____________________

Ok, that explains it, avatars that were born after July are the ones who went missing, older ones are still in the system.

OK, so referral bonus doesn't work for users who register for an account after June 2008?
