I've made a tiny avi and set of animations for itself...I tried to include the anims with franimation ao inside the tiny but for some odd reason my avatar keeps unfolding itself after playing certain animations...can anyone recommend another ao script that would work better with folded avs?

You might try looking up Bloodsong Termagant's TAO 2 HUD in-world, if you haven't already.

It might be that you haven't set the animation priority high enough. When you upload the anim, there's a box to set priority from 1-4 (or is it 0 to 4?).

No idea which AO script you are using, but you could play around with ZHAO. It has the advantage of being free and readily available, but I've no idea on how well it scores on keeping you folded. Make sure that all the slots for 'stand' animations are filled, or it will cycle to default ones, which will unfold your av.

I have a (fairly expensive) commercial animal av from a respected builder, but even that unfolds, often after a TP. Toggling the AO off & on works, but it's a hassle.

And finally, there are specialist forums for Animation and Scripting, where you might more informed responses.
