"Error starting a new chat session with 'GROUP NAME HERE'
Error making a request, please try again later."

Ever since the mandatory update last week, I've been getting this intermitant error when people chat in a group I belong to. At first it was milding annoying. But now it is very annoying.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Does LL know it's an issue?

you mean the mandatory update that was Unmandatoried?
It's been an on/off issue since at least last summer.

There are at least five JIRA issues open about this. One of them is at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-29

Go vote for it. Or any of the others. Or all of them.

ALSO: While reading the comments on that issue I found something worth checking. Have you not been getting group notices lately? Check your Group Info, and make sure that the "Receive Group Notices" box is checked.

Actually it was the mandatory update that was supposed to patch the mandatory update that was later downgraded to unmandatory.

At least that's how I remember it. ;)
