WARNING! Blantant plug follows..................... Hi all, if you like driving (depite the state of the roads), I have a 113 prim public vehicle rezzing platform on my land next to a Y intersection in Andraca, this will cost you only $1L to use for 3 hours access + BOT (Benevolant Overlord Tax) of $4L. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Andraca/113/226/38Andraca links to all the roads on the first old continent and I only know of one other place you can rezz a vehicle. BUT WAIT!...................

You probably know about the vehicle sandbox (Bethel, I think it is) - anyway, just in case you don't, I'll mention it. There's a rezzing area and 2 or more circuits marked out by signs across grass and scrub. It's good for testing vehicles although the occasional griefer might be found spoiling things around the rezzing area.

"occasional" griefer? LOL. That has been one of my main places to meet friends since I started, and there is most always someone there trying out thier new griefing tools! Other than that, it is a great place!

Another good place (motorcycle’s only) is at IronHead …. they have a drag strip to check your reaction times and a nice little road course. Plus all the times I’ve been there it’s been low lag if any at all.... http://slurl.com/secondlife/Daytona/149/185/48Another place I enjoy is The Crossroads … Great road course and you can listen to the blues while you ride …. http://slurl.com/secondlife/The%20Crossroads/151/110/29

So there's no way to use a vehicle as transportation instead of teleport?

From: Screwtape Foulsbane So there's no way to use a vehicle as transportation instead of teleport? Not exactly no way, but it's rarely practical. When I lived in Nuttall, there were loads of places I could get to via Linden waterways, and I considered it a challenge to find ways to sail to nearby events rather than TP. Something cool about turning up in a little yacht or motor-launch . Some of the non-physical air vehicles aren't bad either, but if you're high enough to travel without hitting obstacles, there's not much to see. If you have a very speedy connection and a kick-ass gaming PC, I guess you could fly low enough to take in the sights and not have to climb down any stairs you didn't go up. You'd probably still have problems with 'no object entry' & full parcels, though.

From: Screwtape Foulsbane So there's no way to use a vehicle as transportation instead of teleport? After Havok4 is implemented in most Sims, there will be less trouble Sim-Crossing from what I have seen on the Beta Grid. I used my motorcycles for transportation somedays... when you do cross a sim-line, motorcycles usually do a little better (not the freebie ones)...you just lift up the front wheel slightly If you have higher bandwidth it's easier too.
