I'm going to say this with all due respect... If you just opened a business without doing your research, I'm certainly not doing it for you. If you want vendors...do the searches. Prepare a polite notecard which informs of the services you offer, and exactly how the vendors would benefit by joining you. Keep in mind that people like Emilie Redgrave are hit 500 times a day by people wanting something - you'll need to be brief, to the point, and "show them the money"...meaning, why they should be bothered with you? Do NOT IM them! Good luck in your new business.

Yeah, what Honey said. Asking someone to give you the leads and then wanting those people to make first contact is not a sound business plan. Go to some of the sellers out there, and send a note yourself with your proposition. Better yet, post in the classified forum here, maybe focusing on a small up and coming creator who is trying to break into the business. But in any case, as Honey said, the rule of any business transaction is "What's in it for me? " Good luck.

I really wish you the best! We saw you as you came up with the idea and it is a great concept- I would add to the suggestion of 'up and coming' that you contact some new animators also- you are going to need several anims- this can be great- but be prepared to put out some big bux- or - hope people are willing to donate to help u get started. I don't do hair, nails etc, but if some furnishings will get you off the ground - drop me an IM inworld, I will be happy to donate some decor to get you going. Sorry- I don't do anims though, but i have some good LM's. Good luck

From: Brenda Connolly maybe focusing on a small up and coming creator who is trying to break into the business. This looked like good advice. Find something you are passionate about and enjoy and become involved in that industry. If the new creator is good enough you both reap the benefits and develop a symbiotic relationship. I'm not very business savvy, but this makes sense to me.

I agree with the folks here.... What you might consider doing is posting a 'wanted' classified....both in these forums and in-world.....stating that you are looking for 'new' designers to be featured in your new spa/cafe. The angle here, is that be seeking other folks new in the business.....you may be able to attract more responses to your idea. In fact.....it would be a great way for new designers to break ground a bit without aving to set up shop right away....as a collaboration....it could be very very good for all involved. But...YOU have got to do your own leg work on this. Post the classfieds....start socializing with folks in world and talking about your plans......you'd be surprised probably at how quickly you start getting leads. But.....just throwing this in here is really a dead end. You need to be pro-active in-world and seek out folks in the right places......They're out there.... more so then in here.
