Newbie kits

Hey everyone! I'm still fairly new to SL but am starting to feel confident in my basic knowledge and want to start helping the new folks as much as I can. I am wondering if any of you know a place to get a good newbie kit to hand out, male and female. I'd like to be able to give them something to start with instead of just directing them some where.

One spot to check is NCI (at new citizens plaza). They have welcome kits and tons of good freebies there.

I would include in a notecard how to get to NCI because that is a valuable resource to new users. Carl and his team work hard to make it inviting and welcoming.

You might check "The Shelter" as well. Not sure what they have.

The "Fabulously Free" spot also has lots of good items --I know I saw Jack in a Box and Jill in a Box items...and at The Forum Cartel Hangout, there is a place to pick up the SL Newcomers kit.

I am not inworld now..but I have no doubt someone who is reading this is inworld, and will send you the LMs...

I dropped a new residents kit from the forum hangout on you. It's no copy though unfortunately so I also dropped a LM on you for the forum hangout.
I dropped you a copy of Jill In a Box, whish Is copy, and I also dropped you a LM for where I know there is a Jack in a box.
I also dropped you a box of guides I have....may be worth looking through them to see what is helpful.
Also, have a look at this webpage for a list of helpful freebie/newbie places...she also has tutorials on there which may be useful to send people to.

I figured you were just getting in the mindset of a newbie while you figured out what to pack.

One has to get up pretty early in the morning to beat Claire...she's good!!!

And yes! Can't wait to see you at the hangout...it's lots of fun, and it was a very welcoming place for me.

I read the forums all the time but haven't visited the hangout yet. So thanks for sending the landmark!

Lucrezia Lamont has put together a fabulous New Residents Package. The location can be found in her picks (not in world atm). It comes in one folder to hand to new residents, and several types of vendors that can be placed and people buy for 0L. (I have the box type in my store.)
