There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Make sure the Map isn't open. I've noticed lately that the delay in populating the Map makes everything else run incredibly slowly too. (This is on WindLight, so YMMV.)

Didn't know this. I usually teleport with my map open. Although I have never had problems when teleporting, I have noticed that on Windlight, I have experienced a lot more lag, and general 'weirdness' lately (such as with the 'Recent Tab').

Good tip thanks! Has anyone noticed how the "503" message has now stopped? Now you just get the same problem with the web page and search, but no 503 splash.

Real sloooow navigating, or simply not bringing you at all to the page you selected (stuck?), but no 503 splash. Today's fine for me, though.

There have been lag issue's anew of recent. Be careful, it could come from cookies not cleared, browser cache not cleared, netwok cache not cleared ( a good habit to clear all before each log in)un-defragmented hard drive (even if it doesn't need it), fragmented or broken files (run a registry cleaner maybe once a week esp if downlading files often)out of date drivers, viruses client side, and many other client side issues dealing with equipment(ram, video card limitations, bandwidth, etc.). That being said, do what youu can to clean up any of these issues and then be careful not to accept it is always client side you can go thru a lot of headaches searching for "your" problems client side to find it was sl all along. Oh and shop at Fhelzgud where you can feel good lol.
