Hi.
I'm having a region wide sim lagg spike problem, every 5 seconds or so, a huge lagg spikes comes taking time dialation from 1.0 to 7.0-5.0.
Estate pannel isn't really helping.
How else can I track down the problem script?

time dialation from 1.0 to 7.0-5.0. I thought time dilation went from 0.0 to 1.0. And that 1.0 was as good as it got. _____________________

Hi Nyx. Yes, your time dilation numbers are confusing. But, 0.7 to 0.5 would indeed be awful. If it used to be OK and started doing this recently, and nothing you know of has actually changed, you may want to request a sim restart.
Take a good look at the sim statistics panel and give us the actual time dilation, sim frame rate, and script time. If you have access to Estate tools, try looking at the "top scripts" panel and see if any one script is consuming a lot of time. . |

right now I'd say your problem is not a script.
go and get either the emerald or the coolrelease viewer, activate the "radar info to chat" messages, and see if the lag spikes coincidences with a "soandso has entered the sim" or "soandso has left the sim" message. If that's the case, you're being hit by http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4196 which should possibly see a fix anytime during the next decade, judging by how much attention the lindens pay to it :/ _____________________

Arising from what Lance says, I was wondering about a temp rezzer that's rezzing something containing a lot of mono-compiled scripts.

Time dialation and sim fps are what it did on the last frame, now how it's doing in general. edit: above is just about the 'mono' bit. A rezzer can definitely have an impact on the sim performance, regardless of if it's doing things with mono scripts or not. _____________________

A rezzer can definitely have an impact on the sim performance, regardless of if it's doing things with mono scripts or not. usualy temp rezzers have a interval of just under a minute because temp prims have a time to life of 1 minute, lag spikes from temp rezzers usualy happens when someone is rezzing whole buildings from them, a few prims should not have much of an impact. |
