Check your transaction history to see who you paid, and IM them and ask where your apartment is. That should work. Also, if you paid via a rent box, the transaction history will at least tell you what sim you were in at the time.

LOL - I do like that question :D It reminds me of a 512 that I owned and, as time went by, I completely forgot where it was. I eventually found it though. You ought to have taken a landmark for it while you were there.

There isn't any system way to help you find it, but there are a number of ways of doing it. If you dealt with a person (paid the person), you could look in your Transaction History and get the name. IM the person and ask. Or you could follow the steps that led you to it; e.g. do a search the way you did it before, and so on.

I'm sure that others will come up with other ways.

LOL - I discovered how to make a landmark - I didn't dare leave XD

For anyone reading this that wants to know how, select 'world' at the top of hte screen, and choose 'Create Landmark Here' You can also choose to set it as your home, and can go there on Log in or choose 'go home' on the map.

Thanks for your answers.

That rings a few bells too :) One carpark was so big that there were signs telling you to remember the area's letter code. Of course I forgot the letter code and it took ages to find the car.

Hi, you should also be able to set your new apartment to your 'home'. (World - Set Home Here) Do that when you're inside; then in preferences (Edit-Preferences) check that you want to rez at your home every time you log on. Now that you've rented it you should be able to set it to your home. Have fun!

my parents lived on a street of identical looking duplexes on both sides. I mean like 20 blocks all identical! when I went to visit I flew out there so I usually ended up driving dads car if I went out. The only way I ever found the house was to drive slowly down the street hitting the garage door opener button. ;)

This is one of those things that needs to be in some kind of user manual...

Buying land should make a LM in your inventory.

Landlords that rent land on estates out to have their systems to give a LM the moment someone rents the plot.

Yup, I can relate to this too. (The losing the car part, not the drunk part. :p)

And I used to laugh when I saw "older people" with those artificial flowers stuck to the top of their antennas. Doesn't sound like a bad idea now. :o

Reminds me of quite a few years ago arriving in Amsterdam for the first time. First evening jumped on a tram to have a look around .... was great until wanted to go back to the hotel and realised hadn't written down the address. We then spent several hours jumping from one tram to another trying to recognise anything.

That reminded me of a Dutch girl I met in Portugal. She was on holiday with her husband and another couple. She'd taken a fancy to me while her husband was with the other couple at the bar and, later, he came over to where we were talking, got the apartment keys from her, and left her with me. She didn't know where the apartment was so the next morning, we drove around looking for anywhere she recognised. We did find it :)

That has become very handy in finding destinations I only went to once, could remember a part of the name, but had no idea where it was. Did a search for the part of the name I *did* remember and voila! There was the landmark info! Love it!
