Like 2d printers theyre too expensive for a private market for a long time, but 3d printers may reach it in just a few years.
Its relatively old technology that just lacks a market.

It is also possible to print something with low resolution out of suggar/bread/carbonhydrates that would be edible (to some degree but not too healthy or tasty compared to fruits), but the low resolutuion and low life makes it unpractical.

It may also be possible within 2 decades to print something in high resolution from a skin sample, down to living organs, but thats still far from reaching a prototype..
