New island - no tv?

I recently bought an open-space island. My tv hasn't worked here yet. Today my screen was showing a website style 404 Page not found error.

My Internet radio works just fine. Web content is selected, I have updated Quicktime, I see video in other places. Is there something I have to setup in order to have tv work?

What happens when you go to that URL in your browser (mine brings up page not found)?

Either that link has expired, or they are having problems.

I have a manoupoli tv too and some of the advertised shows have expired. Try changing the station/video/show/movie on the tv set. Expired shows is what made me dump my @Home tv and buy this one.

I bought two of their movie boxes, they'd better not be expired! I will check with them and see about an update or something. Just wanted to be sure there wasn't something I had to do on my end first.

Is the actual owner of the land a group?

edit: never mind. if you get a 404 error, you got ripped off. you need to find a tv station that works.

Normally if you see video on other parcels your viewer is ok, and if you have allow media set on your land that should be right. The TV will replace the media address everytime you change channels so that would be ok. Just need to make sure that the TV is using a valid address to the movie. Typically a little channel surfing will prove it's the TV makers fault by letting movie addresses expire or by moving things around on their file server.

What's odd is that when I mouse-over the link and look at the status bar, there's a space in it. Also, when I click on the link, what it takes me to is a 404 page and the address in the address bar has two %20s (spaces) in it. However, as I look at the quoted link, there are no spaces.

Something must be up with Manoupoli. Their updater machines say "Update Server Networked Widescreen Adult Edition: Trying to send your item back - it does not match for the update"

I filled in a support ticket. Anyone else out there with Manoupoli tvs and/or movie boxes? Are they working?

Uh oh, maybe it is me. When I go to SLCN at Northpoint I can hear their tv but can't see video. ??

I go to @home and the screens are working and then not - off and on. Is it lag or am I insane?!?
