Just something to remind people that Linden Labs does do a lot of things right, remember that SL and SL-clones are the only 3d 'worlds' where the EULA doesn't look like this charming fellow.

Yes, indeed. Those who have attributed the lion's share of the success of SL to the LL decision to protect intellectual property rights, have a good case, I think.

Awww, sackboy/sackgirl is cute. I have a little version of my SL avatar for mine.

LBP just isn't the same as SL. The only content created these is game levels that you play from a semi-transparent interface. (Even if you create objects or avatars, which do exist, you have to package them inside levels.) They're all made using prefab textures, so the ability to have any independent IP on an LBP level would be in doubt from the beginning, and it would completely mess with the feel of that game.
