So I'm thinking about throwing a party, and I was looking around and discovered that some folks sell fireworks shows - even customizable ones! So, I've got this grand idea in my head, that I'm going to have a party, with fireworks!

Sooo......recommend me some fireworks sets, guys. What's the BEST, second best, third best, and which ones should I stay away from, AND - more importantly - how much of my allowance am I going to have to spend?

Don't worry - there'll be adult supervision.

/me does firework shows all summer

For most bang for your buck, try Allen Parks's 'works. You can get a lot without breaking the bank, and there's even some freebie shows and stuff that will really fit the bill.

LOL for sure!

Also, I don't know the name of the maker but outside of Circe's Jazz club she sells a firework show that is pretty amazing and you can get a preview of it before you buy.

Back in the day, Jopsy Pendragon used to do fantastic fireworks. I don't know if he's still around or if he still does them, but he used to put on quite a show.

I'd suggest you post in Products Wanted and/or Help Wanted to look for either some fireworks you can buy or a fireworks artist you can hire. Or if you want to make some yourself, I'm sure some of the fine folks in Scripting Tips could give you some pointers.

Jopsy, master of all things particles, is still around and still does the fireworks shows in the Teal region.. Dunno if he sells them, though.

That is, I believe, the DeCuir fireworks system. Some nice effects in them, but I was a bit disappointed with the sound of them. I like the "Kabooms!"

Nope. It is only at Etheral Teal. Beautiful, too.

a feind of mine Judi Newall does excelent firework shows. she has her own stuff so if its a one off or every now and then kind of thing it might be a good idea to have a chat to her about doing some shows for you

I was going to come up, but...I crashed! For the very first time in all my time in SL, I actually crashed while doing absolutely nothing. A couple months ago I had a problem where 2 out of 3 tp's would end up logging me out - but that doesn't happen anymore. I haven't really had any problems, till last night. And for some reason I couldn't relog right away.

I was able to log in later, but by that time everyone was gone.

Another fireworks artist you might like is Siv Vella.

For a one-time thing, you'd be better off hiring someone to do it for you. I know a couple of people that put on spectacular fireworks shows for not a ton of money.

If you want names, contact me in-world :)

I have looked at all these places and I feel "HANABI-YA KATSUZO" is the best. Expensive... but very nice.
