I recently saw a mall that had each individual shop advertised seperately using the land-description advertising. I mean the advertising that cost L$30/week.....

But, when clicking on the land-details of each individual mall-shop it did show the total parcel size of the whole mall.
So .... the shops were not subdivided from the mall .....

As far as i know it is only possible to make 1 advertising in the land-description tab.

How is this done?????

Maybe each store owner in the renters' group has the ability to make that listing for his/her shop? If you set the group permissions right, it might work that way, not sure though since I never tried that.

There could be a small 16sm plot at each store just for that reason. I sort of do that (although bigger than 16sm) at my stores since they are somewhat combined. It keeps them separate in the search.

Max, but then you need to subdivide those 16sm parcels, right?

Someone told me once that it is possible to put in a parcel advert more than once, but I forget who, how, or when, so I might just be talking nonsense. Sorry! ;)

Sounds to me like making separate 16 meter parcels would let you put a classified apiece for each parcel. The overwhelming bulk of the shopping area could then be one parcel, with it's own ad, and a bunch of ads for each of the tiny parcels that you don't even notice once you get there.

I think.

Maybe:
- Subdivide with landing points set for the subdivided plots
- Set up the ads
- Rejoin the parcels

Maybe the system operates with what it's been told at the time of setting up the Ad, and does not second-guess by checking the current land setup on each billing cycle.?
The Ad charge would be set up to be charged to the parcel owner.

Something like this happens when a group member sets Home on group land.
That location remains Home for them
- even after they leave the group
- even after the land no longer belongs to the group

I think once you rejoin parcels, just like autoreturn, it defaults to zero.
