Hello everyone. I know is possible send & receive IM from a web site, when you cant go in-world. Many times i saw some of my contacts online. but they aren't in-world. They can chat but no TLP or doing things than normally can in-world. Please, let me know, where can I do than. Chat with my friends when I offline in-world.
Have a merry Xmas.
Thanks!

You can chat with people if they IM you and the IM gets sent to your email address associated with your account. Then if you reply they receive it in IM. There are some clients that allow you to log in without all the graphics and let you chat with people. I forget what they are called. I think there is an iphone app called sparkle that does it too.

The AjaxLife client is totally browser based and is a way to communicate without logging in to the full regular client. http://blog.ajaxlife.net/ -- info about it and here to log in using it: www.ajaxlife.net/Also -- look at the last 2 entries on this page: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers#Third-party_Viewers
