My friend and I have rented this beautiful cabin in a wintery land, the only issue? Only she can rez things into the cabin, and I cant. My friend is the one that rented it, but we both have put in the linden money for it. Even though my name is also on the rental list, I still cannot rez anything on that property. Is there a solution?
I have a temporary dorm on a so called sandbox, to do the rezzing there, that way I can change clothings and such. But its annoying when I already have a home. How unfortunate.

be sure you are wearing the correct group tag when you try to rez things...and maybe check with your landlord and see if there is anything else that needs to be adjusted to allow yu to rez items....sounds like something is not set correctly to me.

Hey Boy, Sounds like maybe you need to join the group that owns the land (and as Jojo said, make sure you are wearing the title when you rezz stuffs). If your friend was invited to the group automatically and you weren't, just IM the land owner and I'm sure they will add you.

If I recall correctly you do not need the tag on to rez, you only need to be a member of the group the land is set to.
however if the land has auto return, then yes, you will need the tag _____________________

Thats exactly right. I got a group invite last week but I probably assumed that it was a NOTE thing that often pops up. I must have accidentally hit delete. Its pretty much annoying. So I have contacted the owner and asked for a proper invite and I will see what happens from there. Thanks for pointing that out!

Just in case the owner or one of the renters changes the return settings (even accidentally)... *POOF**headdesk*! good point don't rent land, own mine, and it is not auto return, but I do still end up putting a lot set to group, just in case I booboo I have rented small stores in malls and such in the past, and yeah in those cases definitely have the tag on, so stuff won't get returned _____________________

If I rez anything there without my group tag on, it gets returned. If the land is group owned, and the permissions state that only group members may create objects, you need to be wearing your group tag. If you are on group land and rez something and it allows you to rez it or doesn't return it, check the permissions. It will most likely be set to 'anyone' for object creation. _____________________

Right: two separate but related things here. About Land / Options / Create Objects can be set to "Group" or "All Residents" (or owner-only), which determines who can rez stuff. About Land / Objects / Autoreturn determines what happens to stuff rezzed on the parcel without being set to the same group as the land--which happens automatically if one has that group tag active when rezzing.
(Haven't tested this but I think a group member can rez on land set to allow only group members to Create Objects, even without the correct group tag active, but you do most definitely need to be a member of the group.) _____________________
