I was just idly wondering ...

How did the continents get their names? I know there is often a bit of disagreement about the names of the different continents which makes me wonder whether they have all been, up 'til now, named by residents for one reason or another.

Is Zindra the first continent to be officially named by the Lindens, at the time of its creation?

No, they also used Corsica and Gaeta publicly at the time of its creation. Possibly also the Heterocera Atoll. Other names were internal use that became public knowledge (Nautilus), or came about in some other fashion (Jeogeot, Sansara, Satori).
