I rent land, but want to share permissions with friend

Hi everyone, I've been reading and can't really find what I should do.

I rent a parcel of land and I've put a house on it plus a skybox.

My friend and I are going to experiment with opening a store in the skybox. But I can't seem to figure out how to do the things I need to do so she can add products, etc.

I started a group for us and gave her all kinds of rights in the group. She's listed as an officer - should I change her to owner? (We've been friends for years in RL and is trustworthy) Someone told me I need to deed the building to the group (she and I are the only members), but the deed button is grayed out. I've clicked the box that says group members can modify the object (the skybox)

What am I missing on this?

And while I'm at it, I'm trying to rent out the house on the ground. But now I'm worried if someone rents it, it's going to be a mess. How do I set the house so the renter can add stuff and change furniture around? Ack.

I wouldn't put a shop in the air and a house on the ground.. I'd swap them just IMO..

The owner of the land will have to set your group for you if you are renting. Contact whoever you are renting from and have them fix this for you.

Yep, if she is having trouble rezzing stuff it would be because she needs to be a member of the group that "already OWNS the land".

And if you are wanting to rent out your house, that person may also need to be a member of that same land group. Since you do not own the land and the group, you best bet to let them move your furniture is probably to set the furniture as "allow anyone to move".

I'm a landlord. If a tenant lets me know that they have a friend/partner/roommate they want to have renter privileges (like rezzing objects), I add them to the group, no problem.

Likewise, if they tell me that they hate their ex-friend/partner/roommate, I'll either give them a security system, ban the person from their parcel, or (given convincing evidence of evildoing) ban them from the sim.
