I registered on SLim, downloaded and logged into the SLim SL viewer for synching, downloaded and logged into the SLim client. But nothing shows up, no friends list, nada..
It says I am logged in, but apparently I'm not according to friends... more over, there is no friends list loading as well.

Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong... pls help.

I can't help, Claudius, as I am having the same problem. Don't know what else I need to do to get friends to show up on SLIM client. Oh, it's the Windows versions, by the way.

If you can do without voice, I think SLeek is a more reliable and robust text client.

I just got mine working and I started the im program first and then started the client and hit refresh on the im program and it imported my list. but now seems the person you want to talk with must have the slim clinent and the slim software too and be registered as it will not allow me to send message to anybody becuase it says they dont have a secondlife client that is supported.

Can't even log on to SLim

I downloaded the First Look Viewer, made sure voice chat was enabled, and then downloaded and installed SLim. I can't even log on to it. It doesn't give me an opportunity to set up an account. I even uninstalled and reinstalled to check to see if I am missing something. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

did you go here

and set up a SLim account as it says there on step 3 Create a SLim Account

The knowledgebase seems to miss saying this
and I found it via the blog comments when the linden mentioned it there..

I also had to go back to the client, disable and enable the voice, then logged out
then it let me get my friends list

it is still in beta folks, do not expect it to work perfectly, when you choose to use beta it is under the understanding that you are willing to report issues and bugs you find.

same as using any first look or release client

I got SLIM working, but now I can't receive IM Voice calls in world. When somebody IM Voice calls me, I don't get any notification at all.

I have written to Vivox to have them disable my SLIM account, but no response so far. It is the weekend, though.

Missing Friends in SLim

I am missing the very Friend with whom I want to speak in SLim. He is a newbie as of the month.

Do my Friends need the same client to be seen? I see virtually all my other friends, some of whom have not even fired up their very elderly versions of SL in a year's time.

There is no logical reason for the missing persons.
