I think I posted this in a section without the option to comment, so here it is again.

I am needing opinions and the real demand for this as a project. Firstly I run Carnivale, now open in the Venusian Mainland SIM. Double the size of the original park. It is a showroom for my amusement park sales and rentals, but I also wanted to make a place that people wanted to go to. Irregardless if they buy something. A public space both beautiful and a shop as well. Anyway, I have a bigtop, hugetop is more like it, its home of my Midway which are games and carnival farorites like duck hunt, that sort. I could easily dedicate 30% to a stable and permanent bigtop and house a circus and an audience of 30 people. Not a problem at all, it would easily be 60m x 60 m in size.

Now as a 2 year old I met seen a tonne of people who were either starting, joining, or somehow interested in an inworld circus. Yet I have never seen one. Is this because there is no permanent home for one? If there was a free space to go and practice and put on shows, totally free, I just think having a circus would be an amazing attraction in itself. Is there demand for this?

Even if you are an organized circus, feel free to contact me inworld. I have an extremely new SIM yes, but so far my sales and traffic have been very hign in my existing shops. The SIM itself is in perpetual autumn. I find that I always seemed to go to the country fair as a kid in the fall. Call me sentimental.

If you ever come up with a circus troupe, consider it instantly invited to Caledon as part of your tour, if you ever do touring!

Likely dozens of places would love to have a circus do an event in their community. Bring your vendor items for the event too, it's all good!

I want to second this. If you get a circus troupe going, IM me. We'd love to host you at the West of Ireland as a fundraiser for our charity, Project Children (projectchildren.org).

I doubt that's it. More likely it is a lack of circus animations, don't you think? Animations that interact with props are particularly difficult (e.g. juggling, trapeze work, etc.).

Cirque Agramzu is one circus in SL, don't know whether it's still active:

The Cirque du Secondlife group was created to make a Cirque du Soleil style show for SL:

I suggest a circus without animal acts......I think some people won't be able to behave themselves...then German TV shows up, then a Congressman or two, and it all just turns into a Zoo.

And heaven forbid any children show up...

Seriously though, I'd love to visit a circus.

I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting events, and a circus definitely qualifies! As a consumer, I'd happily pay to attend one. I'd also fork over a few L$ to play me some midway games. :)

The Changhigh Trinity Sisters do an amazing trapeze act - they performed in Red Square in SL not long ago and I believe it was shown on TV in Russia.

See video at:

Is that an ongoing act on just a one-off by the advertising agency though?

A circus would be awesome as long as there are no clowns. Clowns scare the hell out of me.

Hey all, new to the forums, not to Sl. (premium account verified finally) :)

I'm organising a circus in New Babbage, in Babbage Palisades. It'll be opening at the start of November and is steampunk themed with heavy leaning towards Victoriana and twisted maniacs. Chainsaw clowns anyone? XD Think the video for "Carnival of Rust".

Anyway, I have all the acts i need for now but that may change as spirits wane so drop in as and when to keep updated or join the group (Le Cirque de la Fee Verte Follower) fpr news and show times.

It will be touring once the season in Babbage is over and it fits on a smallish plot due to its style of construction so expect me to unleash the freaks in your neighbourhood soon!.

Now, though i have insane amounts of building to do :)
