So, I have decided to tinker with making some T-shirts. Not that big of a deal, until I start putting them together. I down load my template crack open photo shop and begin to work on my shirt.

Sleeves, I can not get them to line up at all. Now part of this has to do with being RL color blind. So this lines on the template simple fade into the great nothing as soon as another shade is introduced.

I need some help, of a premade sleeved template something anything.
Clearly this is a cry for a slight assist.

You'll find a whole load of illustrated walk-throughs about how to make teeshirts and just about any other item of clothing at http://www.mermaiddiaries.com/2006/11/build.html, together with links to resources like templates and third-party (often resident-created) tools. Hope that's some help.

Being color blind is going to hinder you, you can however change the colors of the templates on the layer. Maybe that could help. Also, make sure these layers are on top.

I found that uploading the template and putting it on the avatar and taking snapshots of where lines meet helped me a lot......

If you are going to be doing clothing, you should take a look at AvPainter.
http://avpainter.osbyte.net/
You can get a demo version from that site. The full version so you can save your work is about 8 or 9 dollars, US.

We're really slipping here.

Try looking in the Texturing Tips forum. You'll find more info there, and a more concentrated collection of people who deal with these sorts of questions.

...who will all as one voice tell you to "read the tutorials."

I hate when people do that.

Not being into texturing, I don't know if that's a legitimate response or not. It might be the best answer. If it's not, and no one else in that forum helps, then there's something dysfunctional about the Texturing Tips forum.

I want to say I am impressed by the replies and thank you all that did.
After spending the morning trying out different templates and just doing it over and over again, I found that other then being cross-eyed, the being color blind part really slowed things down. I did come up with a base template for myself that seemed to connect all the sleeves together correctly. (Something that would take most of you just a few mins to get took me about 3 hours.)

I think what I will end up doing to hiring someone just to make a line of t-shirts for me, its not that I lack the desire to do it, but clearly shading and having issues with color depth are a terrible combo.

It depends. Some things I do with t-shirts take more than 3 hours to get "right". Even a great template won't completely do what you gotta do. Robin Wood's vector smart templates are as good as they get but yes, you have to be able to see the lines to match the seams. However you CAN open the vectors and change the colors -- a lot of work there but it's doable. AvPainter is a great tool for touching things up (like seams and patterns that don't blend) or doing a rough design but Photoshop is really the tool of choice for clothing. Unless you have something like Maya and know how to use it. In which case I'll just pout and be jealous.

That avpainter is really useful. I had a hard time getting things to align between the front and back halves of the of the torso. They ain't in a straight line on the template! And shading? Fugedaboutit. At least with avpainter you can draw a line from the front to the back and shade both halves at the same time. What a time saver. I guess there are other 3d painting tools out there too.

If you have trouble shading you can try taking a picture of a shirt in real life and then pasting that onto the torso template! You'll get realistic folds for sure.

They tell people that because of the multitude of people who come in there and want to know step by step how to make fabulous clothing and become wealthy in SL. And pretty much anything you want to know is in the tutorials.
