LMAO Turns out it was this ridiculous new windows explorer.....friggin thing is supposed to be a nifty upgrade with all kinds of 'helpful' add-ons. What a croc of poo...... it's slow as hell and nothing loads half as quick as it used to. But....hardy har har....I just went to properties and selected 'start without add-ons' and whataya know...it's lightning fast again and I can get to the forums!!!! Upgrades my ass. lol

I installed IE7 a couple of weeks ago it works fine, but for the first couple of days, only this site gave me trouble. When multiple tabs were up and this was one of them, clicking on another tab, or back to this one would cause the "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. If this site wasn't up, I could have a dozen tabs and no problem. Then after a couple a days the problem disappeared on it's own. Now IE7 runs great.

My fiancee uses Firefox but I always have problems with it on his laptop. I have an MSN email and it simply will not allow me to reply in my email.......among other things. He swears by it......but it seems to cause HIM problems too, tho he'd rather the inconvenience then the risk of viruses. (me thinks he worries a bit too much about viruses....neither one of us has ever had one....and I've always used explorer) Anywho.....for the most part I find Explorer to be just fine. But.....this new version is a bit batty. If anyone out there has the new version and can shed some light on these stupid add-ons....it would be much appreciated! If I start without add-ons....every time I change web pages I get a yellow bar telling me I can manage my add-ons here...... then the list of add-ons is just insane! I have no clue what half of them even MEAN or what I should keep and what I should disable. LOL Glad I'm back here tho

Like you I can't for the life of me figure out what they do or why I need them.

I just had this fear when I looked at the list that if I disabled them all I'd have no browswr left! LOL But I'm going to try it now and see what happens.
