Group question...

I have a large VIP group from a club I used to own.... Now im starting a new venture, and while I know you cant change the group name, im looking for an easy way to convert them to the new group...

My question is this:

1) Is there a way to put some kind of link in group chat that will invite them to the new group when they click on it?

2) Is there an easier way?

You need to have your members click on this:

"secondlife:///app/group/your-new-group-UUID/about/"

Since group chat is only seen by the folks logged on at the time, I would send the info out in a group notice and have each person paste it into their chat and click on it.

If you do not know your group's UUID, do a Search for it using the All search tab. I think you will find the UUID somewhere on the group page from that search.

Or, depending on the group size, you can send the all invites to the new group.

You could consider using a subscribeomatic where they will offer a service of migrating existing users of an inworld group into their system. If you have less than 500 group members, subscribeomatics are free without a monthly fee, but they do charge a reasonable 200L for the migration service. Paid subscribers get this one time service for free.
