Hello Aeries

Follow these steps and you will be fine:-

1. Go to www.secondlife.com and "Login" to your SL account using your SL name.

2. Click on "My Account"

3. On the left-hand side, look for a section called "Linden Dollar" and click on "Linden Dollar Exchange"

4. Then select "Sell L$"

5. Decide how many L$ you want to sell

6. You will have to login again during this process, but just follow the prompted steps.

7. Come back to "www.secondlife.com" and click on "My Account"

8. Under "Linden Dollar Summary" it will show your L$ and US$ balances.

9. After your US$ balance, click on "Process Credit" and decide how many US$ you wish to transfer to your PayPal account.

I don't think there are any more steps, but allow up to 7 business days for the money to be transferred, but I get mine in 4 days or less.

you have to wait a day or so, for the levels to increase

everyone has to go through that on the first transaction

it is to help prevent fraud

Yeah, great so far. But what if the transaction to PayPal needs more than 5 days? I started mine on Nov 23rd and it's still "In Progress".

What are they doing with MY MONEY???

Which part of the transaction are you at? Are you waiting for a payment to paypal or a withdrawal from paypal?

the Linden dollar exchange on SLX is secure, fast, and far superior, even costs a little less. Average time to Paypal, about 2 minutes, no kidding.

to PayPal.

yeah, I know they write this'll need 0-5 days. What's in fact also not true because online money to PayPal needs seconds. But I guess LL love to keep our money for some days to earn charge. Anyhow.

Today is the 7th day since I started the transfer!!! And I'm not willing to wait any longer as I need the money and it's infact MY MONEY!

thank you for this. I'm going to use this way in future because I don't trust LL any longer.

Edit:
And also they don't charge me 1 US$ for the transfer.

Wow, how can a company (LL) be that damn slow and also charge their costumers for that incredible bad work?

Sorry, I'm really pissed right now.

Reason for slow transfer

Normally when you receive money from an individual, its instant, but paypal charges you a fee for it in the range of a few percent of the amount. What linden labs does is more like a bank transfer, which paypal does for free, but you have to wait until the funds clear, just like any check does. Linden labs does charge a US$1 fee to cover overhead, and probably to keep people from making a lot of tiny transfers.

Think if it this way: You wrote a check against your account with Linden Labs, and that check has to clear.

(by the way, I have a transfer in progress myself and this is the fifth calendar day, but they claim 0-4 business days, and Thurs was a USA holiday, Thanksgiving, which does not count as a business day. The actual time has varied from same day to around ten days for me in the past)
