I don't know if SL is just buggy right now or if I have too many scripts running on a parcel, but I am unable to open doors easily. One door in particular just refuses to open for me until I try mulitple times. Some other scripts work intermittently too. Do I need to get rid of some decorative things like the animals in my back yard? (I'm asking this question for an alt, so I cannot send you a TP to check it out.) I've also noticed my av suddenly starts the newbie running animation briefly when I do get the door open and try to pass through. I don't know if it's related. I have not noticed any significant lag in just moving, only in scripted things. Anyone else having trouble like this over the past couple of days?

I have a door on a aduen pre fab that is not working and the blue menu wont go away  (the one with all the lock, name etc. selections in it) blocking a large part of the upper right corner 3 days now! no reseting works today I finally deleted the door to rid of the darn menu box... somethings amiss in SL me thinks! but I am building and have allot of scripts in windows on a house I am working on, they all seem to work fine, and the basic door/announce script is working fine as well.

Nothing seems broken for me, things I have been making all work and none of my plot scripts have failed.
However I have noticed some quirky little things, like a script occasionally triggering its reset timer for no apparent, and a few times when editing prims, they have jumped back to pervious states, like i am cutting a prim, get it cut and poof its back to uncut, sometimes 3 times in a row in a row.

Oh, yes, that's an annoying one I see a lot too. Same with adjusting textures, occasionally also with positioning prims. The most annoying one must be where I copy a prim or object using shift-slide, and the original (the one that's left in place is actually the copy) moves back to it's original position, making it look like it's gone.

my security orb stopped working properly .. when its never done that before... as well as some sit target that get borked when youre installing them..
on a good day all things work.. but recently theres random little clusters of messups.

Excluding the usual weekend lag and general borkiness due to the number of people online, everything's been working okay for me.
Have you taken a look at the Stats and seen how high the script performance is where you are? Even the 'traffic lights' in Help can show whether it's a client or server side issue.
Sometimes individual objects can have a big effect on lag. I have a fountain that I just can't put down (even thought it's beautiful and expensive) because it just lags me out terribly. Badly written script inside I think but it's no mod so I can't check. If you've added something recently to your land try picking it up and seeing if that helps.
Also the more scripted stuff you put down the harder the sim you're on has to work. So it's worth being careful and not going crazy with scripted stuff. Anything that listens on channel 0 (open chat) is a bad idea as well as temp rezzers and lots of particles. In moderation these things are okay, but the more you have the more you'll attract lag gremlins.
