Problem buying L$ with balance

I am trying to buy L$ at the exchange for the first time. I have added $25 to my Balance, but each time I try to purchase L$ it tries to use PayPal (which doesn't work because it says I have used my daily limit buying the $25 balance) and not my Balance.

Is there something I need to do to tell the L$ exchange to use my balance? According to what I have read it is suppose to happen automatically. I'm confused.

I do wish they'd fix this.

What's happened is that when you added the USD, it counted against the buying limit.

For your limit, you can't buy the L$ at this time. It will increase however, as you can see.

once you buy $L, your trading limits slowly increase.

Seconded. All it would take is an additional bit of text on the webpage, warning new users that if they want money to spend inworld on the first day, to buy L$ and not put the money into their balance.
