A couple of weeks ago, due to some drama with some folks, a friend told me he was going to cancel his account. I'm not so sure that he really will/did - while he was feeling a bit lost here, there were a some aspects of SL that he liked.

So far, the account still exists - it is still on my Friends list and I can still can get to his profile. The strange part is that even though I can still see his groups listed in his profile, when I check the actual Group info, his name is not even in the list of people with their last login date.

So, if an account is in the process of being cancelled, will the group login data disappear first? How/why would his name disappear from within the Group info, but everything else about him still be visible. I don't *think* he ever went Premium, so it shouldn't involve any sort of billing cycle.

Really just one of those strange things that I have a curiousity about.

Hmm give his name to a friend that doesnt have that person on their friends list, nor has their calling card.

And see if they can find the person.

Profiles of cancelled accounts usually don't go away. Removed from the people search tab yes, but group membership, item ownership or creator, that sort of thing, will still be attached to the account and still bring up the profile.

That apparently is it. His profile is not visible to others and he no longer shows in People search, so I guess he really did cancel.
