I can't log in right now - getting the "Unable to connect to Second Life. DNS could not resolve your host name" message. Tried several times and also with the alt. 'testbot', but no luck.

Anyone else getting this?

Ah! I thought I'd mention it because I think once before lots of people received this message simultaneously.

I'm getting this error as well, has anyone come across a solution? I've looked in support, but not seeing anything to really help me as I have not changed any of my settings with my computer.

Make sure to send in a support ticket on the issue so they can get to it, this is a problem on their end. Its not UK based since I am in California and getting it too. I just submitted a ticket since more people posted about this on the tech forum too. I hope they see it the tickets soon and get this resolved, this was one of my few uninterupted nights to play :)

I filed a support ticket and received a prompt reply. It's probably to do with server problems as in blog 'unable to connect to certain regions'. Although the problem isn't solved yet, it's good to know that something mysterious hasn't cut me adrift from SL.

I'm in California, home of LL, and I'm getting it. Just logged off and can't get back in.

Yep, same here! Conifer, did you have to make any changes to anything to be able to get back in?

*twitches* Not yet, but its ok *twitches* Its not as if I am addicted or any*twitch*thing.

ETA;
Back in, my support ticket is still on New status so I am not sure if that helped with them getting it fixed so quickly. Looks like we just got a mini time out from LL ;)

Try an other DNS server. I had the same problem. I use now: 1e 208.67.222.222 and 2e 208.67.220.220 This one is faster and generates no time outs to me any more.
