Hi there,
I'm having a few problems getting used to the in-world creator and would like to know if it is possible to use 3D programs to design 3D objects and environments and import these into Second Life.
I have tried to look through the "File>>Upload" menu but have so far not found an option to import files other than sounds and images.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Satanic.

You can't upload a mesh/object directly (at least not yet). Take a look here: http://home.comcast.net/~pixelforgeltd/Tutorial.htm

Blender and Wings 3d models can be uploaded to SL. Albeit you have to download some scripts for them to convert your mesh to BMP format.

Check out the Building Tips Forum and the stickies there. /8/1.htmlAt this moment the only way to really do it to remodel in sculpty compatible format based on your 3d mesh then texture and upload. Easy to say but not quite so easy to do/master. You're at the start of a long and sometimes complicated road.
